The vineyard of Château Pédesclaux is located on the gravely plateau overlooking the city of Pauillac next to prestigious châteaux known worldwide.
Geology:
The subsoil is mainly made of clay & limestone gravels.
The average is 35 years old. Our pruning is known as “guyot double sans côt” and we clear off buds according to the “windows” method to aerate the vine.
We started the green harvest and the clearing off leaves in 1999.
The surface of production is 28 hectares divided up on the Pauillac and Haut Médoc appellations.Our production is about 170,000 bottles. The entire crop is bottled at the estate.
